The Village Sign Project

After much discussion the following two sign designs were put to parishioners for comments.

Some comments received from parishioners:

"I am really impressed with the clarity and overall design of the two proposed parish signs"

"My husband and I really like these designs but prefer Option 1 as this includes the woodcutter. We also like the fact that it is a local company"

"Both signs are excellent and long overdue"

"We really like that the signs are made in the village"

"We like both sign designs, but  both slightly prefer the option with the Lych roof, which is better balanced and more eye-catching atop the post".

The Parish Council has now ordered the new village sign, from Laser Patterns, who are based in Parham.

The design on the right featuring the Lych Gate surround, with some minor changes, has been chosen.

We are hoping the new donated sign post will be made from "Parham" oak, so the sign will be truly local.

The Parish Council will keep you updated as to progress and we look forward to a grand unveiling ceremony when the sign is finished and we are enjoying warmer weather.
