The Rendezvous was founded 25 years ago by Norman and Pat Carr. Its aim was to provide a weekly opportunity for villagers to meet socially for games, talks, coffee, discuits and lots of chatter. In the early days between 20 and 30 people would come together on a Tuesday morning but over the years helpers have moved away, or, sadly, passed away and the members have dwindled to just a handful.
Cllr Steve Gallant has been elected the first ever Leader of East Suffolk Council and has spoken of his desire to “build a future for the district that captures its limitless potential.”
East Suffolk District Council has a new phone number: 03330 162000. It has replaced any previous numbers used to contact the Suffolk Coastal Customer Services team. It covers the whole of East Suffolk.
The Annual Parish Meeting was held on Tuesday 14th May, followed by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council.
Parham Parish Council has recently cleaned all the highways signs within the village that are easy and safe to access.
Superfast broadband is now available to residents in Parham thanks to Better Broadband for Suffolk.
The District Council Elections for the new East Suffolk Council will take place on Thursday 2nd May. Following the ward boundary changes, Parham is now in the Framlingham Ward. A Statement of Persons Nominated is attached here.
